$15,000-$30,000 Scholarship:

The University of Southern California Rossier School of Education considers City Year AmeriCorps members, alumni, and staff for a merit-based tuition scholarship between $15,000-$30,000. Applications are accepted for the following programs: The Summer cohort for the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) , Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy , Master of Education in School Counseling , Master of Education in Education Counseling , and the Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration & Student Affairs .

To access the application fee waiver:

1. Send an e-mail to estevanh@rossier.usc.edu. The subject line should say “City Year/AmeriCorps Fee Waiver Request”. The body of your e-mail should include the following:

1. • Full Name (needs to match name on USC Rossier application)
   • The name of the program to which you are applying
   • Your City Year Site & City Year graduation year
   • You will receive an email if and when your fee waiver is approved with further instructions. Please do not submit your online application until your fee waiver has been approved. No refunds will be issued post-submission.

Scholarship funding is limited. All applicants are reviewed for merit-based scholarship consideration as part of the admissions process—no separate scholarship application is required. While admission to the program does not guarantee a scholarship, applying earlier may increase your opportunity for scholarship consideration. The scholarship amount is contingent on the program to which members are applying and may vary accordingly. Eligible applicants are awarded based on academic achievement, alignment with the USC Rossier mission, and other selection criteria. Scholarship recipients are notified at the time of admission.
